The Get Down DJ Collective. We hand-craft playlists customized for your musical vision for the party! The Get Down DJs are open-format and we mix everything live, which allows the dance floor to inform the selections. It’s this in-the-moment collaboration and curation which allows for an utterly unique and organic celebration! If your guests want to party, we’ll get those feet loose.
Collaboration with our clients is the heartbeat of our creative process - your musical taste is our inspiration and the foundation for the custom set we’ll mix live for you and your guests on party night. We don’t impose limits on your song requests, and we won’t hand you a tired list to pick from; every playlist we craft is built fresh for your event, never recycled, and always tailored to your unique style. So, however you like to capture your music - Spotify, Google Docs, a napkin in your glove box - start building that list. Whether you're at the gym, in traffic, or walking the dog, if something grabs your ear, jot it down. Don’t overthink it—send us your inspo and let us be the filter (and yes, “Do Not Play” lists are just as helpful). On the big night, we’ll weave your favorite tracks into a seamless flow that reflects you and avoids the cheesy party clichés like YMCA or I Gotta Feeling that flatten the vibe. Our technical skill and open-format mixing style let us read the room and adapt on the fly, blending genres—from Stevie Wonder to LCD Soundsystem, soul to EDM - into a cohesive, high-energy experience. What types of events do you DJ?
Weddings, premieres, brand events, art shows, birthdays, pool parties - you name it. From dog runway shows to opening for Ke$ha, we’ve done it all.
Do you MC?
Yes! We provide a wireless mic and handle toasts and announcements. Our style is MC Lite - never cheesy, never intrusive. Just smooth transitions and clean vibes.
What’s your DJ style?
Open-format and collaborative. We blend genres live, based on your taste and the energy in the room. It’s custom, creative, and crowd-responsive.
What do you wear?
We match the vibe—stylish, appropriate, and never in pizza helmets (yet).
Do you travel?
Yes! We’ve DJed everywhere from China to Mexico. Travel logistics are easy to sort out - we go where the party is.
What happens in an emergency?
We DJ as a duo, so there’s built-in backup. We also have spare gear and trusted pros on call just in case.
Why are you more expensive than other DJs?
Because we’re full-time pros with great gear, creative mixes, and a deep commitment to each event. Less expensive DJs often cut corners—on sound, insurance, prep, or passion.
Do you bring your own gear?
Yes - top-tier QSC speakers, Pioneer gear, Shure mic. We also offer additional sound setups for multi-location events.
What’s included in your pricing?
DJ/MC services, 4 hours of performance, gear, setup/teardown, mic, tax, insurance, and Denver travel. Extras, such as additional hours or travel, are priced clearly.
Deposit/payment schedule?
50% to book, final balance due one month before the event.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes and yes! We can add your venue as insured if needed.
Can we see you perform?
If we’re doing a public event, absolutely - reach out! But we don’t invite folks to private gigs.
