TARI
“TARI!!! He truly brought our vision to life with our music!! And we gave him a lot 😭🫶, but he helped us narrow it down to the ones that meant the most to us, and then, from there, made magic happen. The energy at the reception was so contagious and filled with crowd surfing! He mixed some of our fav emo tunes in there as well, so perfectly. Thank you for creating an atmosphere we will never forget! You’re the best!!” - Alexia L

“Tari was absolutely incredible from start to finish. We initially reached out to The Get Down because we wanted music that would get everyone dancing without being cheesy, and their whole team completely understood the vision. From there, we worked with Tari to fine-tune the song choices and plan the flow of the entire night. He was so communicative throughout, which gave us real peace of mind. On the night itself, he arrived early to make sure everything was set up perfectly, and then he absolutely brought the house down. We had so much fun listening to him mix an incredible variety of songs, and the dance floor never stopped. So many guests told us it was some of the best music they had ever experienced, and we know they meant it. We cannot recommend The Get Down enough. If you are lucky enough to book Tari, you are in for the best night.” - Josie L
Lowdown
1. When did you know that you wanted to be a DJ?
After seeing a Run DMC music video on MTV in 1986. Jam Master Jay's cutting and scratching was mind-blowing. I then proceeded to ruin my father’s turntable.
2. What's your most shameful, cringy, guilty pleasure song?
One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Judge not, lest you be judged, heh.
3. What's your favorite post-gig, job-well-done meal?
Breakfast Food
4. If I'm not busy melting faces on the dancefloor, you'll find me…
Skateboarding, reading fiction books, Buying Records, Selling Records, and Making Records.
5. Last dance song of the night for your perfect party.
Really depends on the vibe. And style of music I’m playing. But I tend to go dramatic. So, for all-purpose emotional gravity I’m going with “Running Up That Hill” by Kate Bush, but if I’m trying to keep it more light and uplifting, you have to stick around for the surprise to know :)
